Electric Theatre Radio Hour featuring G.Lee: Radio & Music

1 Keep Rockin' At The Edge of Town

(Noise Poets)

George Douglas Lee

This song was written as a tribute to Bobbie Krantz, owner of Bobbie's House of Spirits. She hired us when we first appeared on the scene as a group with the name Noise Poets. She stuck by us and we stuck by her. Unfortunately, we lost her to cancer a year ago. I was the last of her friends and relatives to see her alive at St. John's Hospital in Clear Lake. She died shortly after I visited her. She was great for Galveston, a tremendous resource and encouragement to the "music scene" here. She is sorely missed. Her club was, in fact, on the edge of downtown Galveston and our experiences playing there inspired this song! Here's to you, Bobbie, Keep Rockin'!
